I’m jumping back into the internet void, and what a year+ it’s been since the last time I’ve had the time/stamina to write about my thoughts and observations. I don’t want to get into the weeds of it all, but I’ll say that a lot has changed for me since 2017- new team, new city, new orchestra, new tax filing status. All the big stuff. But go big or go home, I guess. I’m a long way from home these days, and the struggle (to stay off twitter, to stop eating Justin’s peanut butter cups, to stop buying coffee mugs) is real, but I’ve bought my ticket, buckled in, and I’m here for wherever this ride takes me. I’m hoping this entry kicks off a more productive stretch of blogging as I literally and figuratively start getting my sh$t together after the seismic shifts of the last year.
