I’m wrapping up my second trip in two months to Ann Arbor tonight in the lovely Detroit airport (seriously! this airport is one of the nicest I’ve ever been to- the Fountain Bar is delightful, as are what I’m going to christen the cubby hole chairs, one of which I’ve been comfortably camped out in for the past hour). And to celebrate a city that I’m quickly becoming enamored with, I’m going to list some of the highlights of my trips. I highly endorse all of these things to anyone who finds themselves in this corner of the country (lucky you!)

what an awesome pub- the beer list here (craft and world class and everything in between) would takes years to drink through (challenge accepted Ashleys!)

great local bookstore (staff recommendations here are top notch- this is a great corner to discover new and old classics)

Aventura

I am quoting (and agreeing with) a fellow guest when I say that the churros at this tapas mecca are ‘better than good “bad” sex’. And the bacon-wrapped dates aren’t too shabby either.

Last, but certainly not least on my list is this venerated deli. Every sandwich and pot pie is a winner (says my stomach)
