I’m officially ending the longest streak of radio silence since I started blogging over 10 years ago (!). In the hopes that it will not be another two years before my next post, I’m going t
o keep the scope of today’s (and tomorrow’s and tomorrow’s tomorrow) ramblings small, with breadcrumbs here and there to lead a trail back through what I’ve been up to for the last several months. It’s so much easier to peddle my day-to-day wares, and a year-spanning recap is intimidating (too short, and it’s more of a laundry list, too long, and it’s more of a truncated biography).
In that spirit, I’ll say that today was an extraordinarily ordinary, run of the mill, snowy, stay in bed home sick (with a brief excursion for crepes and night-time music making) day. One of the better kinds of day to have on a cold Monday in the middle of February. Tomorrow will be back to business as usual, but for today, I’m free to get busy living or dying at the pace of my choosing. To whom it may concern, I promise to be less abstract and more of a prosaic New Yorker tomorrow.
