It’s been a slow weekend for me, which has been a nice chaser to the perpetual motion and red eyes of last weekend. I survived my first half-marathon (surprisingly intact, aside from sore feet), and partook in the proper amount of post-indulging (drinks, cupcakes, and classy roman spas) in Vegas. I don’t think I (or my knees) would ever want to do a run longer than a half, but with better shoes, I think it might end up being my favorite distance Since a good backdrop goes a long way, I’m thinking of doing round two in San Francisco this summer, and if my shoulder obliges, a triathlon in Malibu (on a related note, I will make any ‘excuse’ to spend a few days in the great state of California).
Future winter highlights include a trip to Boston, at least one visit to the Korean Spa (really, this time of year is the best time to bake), a food tour of East Williamsburg, and a long train ride to the deep south.
